Official.. Chelsea announce third contract this summer

Chelsea announced in an official statement today Thursday the details of Aston Villa’s Karne Chukvemica’s move to the London club in the current summer transfer window.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Chelsea had reached an agreement with Villa for the 18-year-old to move permanently to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea said in a statement: “We can confirm Chukvimica’s contract as he has agreed to the terms of his new contract and signed it for a period of 6 years, until 30 June 2028.”

Chelsea have not disclosed the value of the young midfielder’s contract.

Chukvimika will be Chelsea’s third signing this summer after Napoli’s Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly and Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling.

Chukvemitsa plays well in midfield and has only made 16 appearances for Aston Villa’s first team since his ascension in the summer of 2020.

Chukwimika is the son of Aston Villa, where he was included in the team’s roster and overall featured in the team’s jersey in 71 matches, scoring 13 goals and scoring 14 others.
