Today, Thursday, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that the countries of the OPEC+ group, as well as India and China, do not support the idea of ​​setting a ceiling on the price of oil from Russia.

A Russian official told reporters today: “I have not heard from at least China and India (that they have supported the initiative to cap the price of Russian oil), we also have not heard about it from other oil producers participating in the market, nor one country that would not support this discussed absurdity.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation considered the idea of ​​u200bu200bsetting a ceiling on the price of a barrel of Russian oil to be absurd, warning that such a step would destroy the entire global oil market. The Russian official emphasized that his country would not supply oil and its products to countries that would support this initiative.

As for the production of black gold in Russia, Novak said that by the end of 2022, ore production in Russia could reach the level of 520-525 million tons.

And earlier, the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal reported that G7 finance ministers could approve a plan to set a ceiling on Russian oil prices as part of the sanctions policy against Russia.
