North Korean leader’s daughter makes first public appearance during ballistic missile test

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) released photos of the daughter of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un during her first public appearance on Friday with her father during a test launch of a ballistic missile.

According to the agency, the girl is shown in the picture next to her father, the North Korean leader, in a white jacket, apparently at a military training ground.

North Korea’s central news agency did not release the name of the girl who accompanied Kim when he led the missile test launch on Friday.

Media reported that Kim Jong-un watched the rocket test “along with his daughter and wife.”

The Joint Chiefs of Staff of the South Korean Armed Forces said North Korea launched an ICBM from the Sunan area near Pyongyang at 10:15 a.m.

Experts believe that the rocket launched by the North worked normally until the rocket split into two stages, given that the maximum altitude reached 6100 km, but it has not been confirmed whether the rocket managed to re-enter the atmosphere or not.

South Korean military and intelligence agencies have not disclosed whether the Hwasong-17 has finally succeeded or not, saying analyzes are ongoing.

However, the experts said they believe North Korea has made significant progress given the altitude and speed during the flight.
