Nord Stream: The West’s Erasure Efforts Examined by Peskov

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the West is making every effort to hush up the issue of undermining the Nord Stream, but the Russian Federation will not allow this.

According to the Kremlin spokesman, the available evidence suggests that it was not possible to carry out a terrorist attack on the Nord Stream lines, except with the state participation of specific countries and the involvement of their competent security services.

Peskov added: “If we talk about sabotage, then it was carried out by one or several countries.

At present, the data indicate that such a large-scale sabotage and terrorist action against this vital infrastructure could not have been carried out without the participation of states and their competent security services with all their capabilities and capabilities.

In response to a question about whether Russia would demand compensation for the sabotage of Nord Stream, Peskov said: “This demand will be fully justified.”

In September 2022, there were explosions on the Russian Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines. Germany, Denmark and Sweden did not rule out that these explosions were sabotage. These countries are conducting special investigations into this incident, but have not yet reached any results. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the explosions a clear terrorist attack.
