The German newspaper Die Welt reported that the US and its main European allies are in secret talks to find diplomatic ways to end the conflict in Ukraine.
“Secret consultations appear to be underway between the United States and key European allies to explore diplomatic means to end the war” in Ukraine.
The newspaper did not provide further details about these consultations, but made it clear that the reasons for the “confusion” of the West are not difficult to find, noting that the majority of European voters are in favor of a “diplomatic solution” to the conflict.
Russia announced the start of a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24.
Russian President Vladimir Putin at the beginning of the operation said that its goal was to protect the civilians of Donbass, who had been subjected to genocide by the Kyiv regime for 8 years, as well as the disarmament of Ukraine and the liquidation of Nazi organizations there.
