Several complainants reported systematic sexual harassment, threats and intimidation in a French company in Tangier.
During the press conference, the young women, who spoke on condition of anonymity and protected by sunglasses, denounced the “media and social media intimidation campaign” by the “Al-Bouti clan”.
One of them said: “The nightmare continues. We were threatened, insulted and tried to bribe, but to no avail!”
In May, the French judiciary decided to prosecute 75-year-old Jacques Poitier in a case of human trafficking and rape of a minor after a five-person complaint was opened in a preliminary investigation.
He is also under investigation on charges of creating a criminal group, kidnapping, detaining and possessing sexual images of minors, and since the end of May, a decision was made to arrest him.
