The price of the dollar in the Central Bank of Egypt and a number of Egyptian banks rose by about 5 piastres during the close of trading today, Wednesday.
The price of the dollar rose in the Central Bank of Egypt to a record 18.73 pounds for buying and 18.85 pounds for selling, and the dollar rose in the National Bank of Egypt to a record 18.76 pounds for buying and 18.82 pounds for selling, and the price of the dollar in The Bank of Egypt rose to a record 18.76 pounds to buy and 18.82 pounds to sell.
At the same time, the price of the dollar rose in the Central Bank of Egypt to a record 18.71 pounds when buying and 18.82 pounds when selling.
The price of the dollar in the Bank of Alexandria rose to a record 18.78 pounds when buying and 18.84 pounds when selling.
The price of the dollar in the commercial international bank rose to a record 18.78 pounds when buying and 18.84 pounds when selling.
The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Egypt decided at its meeting on Thursday to keep overnight deposit and lending rates, as well as the main operating rate of the central bank at 11.25%, 12.25% and 11.75% respectively.
