New Deputy Minister of Defense appointed by Russian Defense Ministry

The Russian Defense Ministry announced the appointment of Colonel General Alexei Kuzmenkov as Deputy Defense Minister responsible for the logistics of the Russian Armed Forces.

  • Colonel Kuzmenkov graduated from the Volsk Higher Military School of Logistics in 1992 and until 2019 served in various positions in the rear services of the Russian Armed Forces.
  • From 2014 to 2018, he headed the Main Logistics Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces.
  • From 2018 to 2019 – Deputy Commander of the Southern Military District for Logistics.
  • Since 2019, he has been Deputy Director of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of Russia, Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard Troops.
