The British newspaper The Telegraph reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was forced to postpone his visit to London due to the refusal of a number of pilots to fly the plane on which he was.
According to the publication, the decision to abandon the pilots was a protest against the judicial amendments planned by the Netanyahu government, which caused mass protests in the country.
A British government source said: “There is a perception that Israeli pilots are refusing to fly Mr. Netanyahu to the UK.”
According to Israeli media reports, Netanyahu is still planning to fly to London on Friday at 4 am local time, having abandoned plans to fly out on Thursday evening.
The Israeli portal Ynet, citing Netanyahu’s office, reported last week that he would travel to London on Thursday, March 23.
