Former Portugal international Nani said fellow Manchester United and former national team star Cristiano Ronaldo should stay at the club for another season, indicating that he could not contact him.
Cristiano Ronaldo is missing from Manchester United’s tour of Thailand and Australia for family reasons following news of his request to join a big team this summer for the Champions League, according to multiple media reports.
“I hope he stays. He is an important player and always matters. I hope he is in a good mood to help the club, ”the British Daily Mail quoted the 35-year-old Nani as saying about Ronaldo.
He added: “I tried to talk to him, but when he is on vacation, he does not answer his calls. He said, “I’m very busy right now, we’ll talk soon.”
There are conflicting reports about the desire of big clubs like Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Atlético Madrid to sign Ronaldo after he asked to leave Old Trafford during the current Mercato, and a statement from Dutchman Erik Ten Hag, the new Manchester United manager that the Madeira Rocket is not for sale.
