Nadal also lost the third set in his first match at the current Wimbledon championship to Argentina’s Francisco Serondolo (6-4, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4).
Nadal will then face Italy’s No. 27 Lorenzo Sonego, who defeated France’s Hugo Gaston 7-6, 6-4, 6-4.
