Nadal advances to the third round of Wimbledon

Spaniard Rafael Nadal, ranked fourth in the world, reached the third round of Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam tournament, defeating Lithuanian Ricardas Berankis.

The Spanish Matador, who won Wimbledon twice (2008 and 2010), lost one set to the Lithuanian opponent, but decided the outcome of the match in his favor in four sets 6-4, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 and came out on top. third round of the tournament for the eleventh time, having achieved a Second victory in two matches against Berankis, after first in Melbourne at the Australian Open earlier this year 6-2 and 7-5.

Nadal will then face Italy’s No. 27 Lorenzo Sonego, who defeated France’s Hugo Gaston 7-6, 6-4, 6-4.
