Musimani’s Reaction to Zamalek’s Proposal from Egypt

Saudi Al-Ahli club coach Pitso Musimani said he had received an offer to coach the Egyptian Zamalek starting next season.

In statements released by BN Sports, Musimani said he received a formal offer from Zamalek but apologized for accepting it.

Musimani explained the reason for his rejection of the offer, saying, “Now is not the right time to accept the offer.”

The former Egyptian Al-Ahly coach explained: “Zamalek is going through a period of instability, there are no signs of financial or administrative stability, and it is difficult to coach him now.”

Regarding his previous experience with Al Ahli, Zamalek’s Egyptian rivals, Musimani said: “If the circumstances were different, I would like to continue with Al Ahly, but the conditions of the Egyptian league forced me not to work there.”

And Musimani has a clause in his contract with his current team Al-Ahly from Saudi Arabia that provides for an extension of his contract for one more season in the event of a coronation or ascension to the Saudi Roshan league, which is a condition that the South African coach fulfilled his challenge as he led the Al Ahly Jeddah team to victory in the Saudi Arabian First Division Championship this season and to compete in the League of Fire starting next season.
