Moving to Egypt to boycott the country’s most important food products from January 10

Social media activists in Egypt have called for a boycott of chicken purchases starting Tuesday tomorrow for a month in protest against a 20 percent rise in chicken prices over the past two days.

The appeal came from public figures and middle-class consumers due to a significant increase in the price of chicken.

The price per kilogram has increased from £54 to £64 in rural and popular areas, and from £65 to £73 in middle-class areas.

The protesters raised angry slogans, using the hashtag (#boycott_chickens_January_10_for_a_month) to indicate that the growth is so fast, beyond the means of average families, and the poor will not be able to buy chicken legs that have risen in price in the markets.
