Moscow warns Tokyo of unbridled military strategy

The Russian Foreign Ministry commented on the update of Japan’s strategic documents on national security and warned Tokyo against pursuing a policy of unbridled militarism and working to strengthen its offensive weapons.

“We drew attention to the adoption by Japan on December 16 of this year. updated version of three doctrinal documents: the National Security Strategy, the National Defense Strategy and the Defense Development Plan,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. Statement today, Thursday.

“From its content it is clear that Tokyo has embarked on an unprecedented strengthening of its military power, including the acquisition of offensive weapons,” the ministry added.

She signaled that Japan was taking concerted steps to revive its military capabilities by allowing it to strike at neighboring countries.

“We have been warning for some time about Tokyo’s apparent avoidance of recognizing the results of World War II, which form the basis of the modern world order,” the Foreign Ministry said.
