Moscow ready to host talks between Assad and Erdogan

Russian Presidential Envoy for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov confirmed Russia’s readiness to mediate between Syria and Turkey and hold talks between the leadership of the two countries.

Bogdanov told RT: “We are fully confident that holding such meetings requires a serious and clear approach so that this meeting not only has an official status, but also achieves the necessary positive results for Syria, Turkey and the entire region.”

He added: “We welcome this move and are always ready to respond to our Syrian friends and Turkish partners, and if they see the benefit in our mediation or the need to provide a Russian venue for such meetings, we are always ready. “

He stressed that the holding of such a meeting depends on the political will of the leadership of the two countries.
