Moscow and Havana Discuss Strategic Priorities of Cooperation with Patrushev and the President of Cuba

During his visit to Havana, Secretary of the Russian National Security Council Nikolai Patrushev held talks with Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and former leader of the Cuban Communist Party Raul Castro.

The Russian National Security Council said in a statement that the parties “discussed various issues aimed at deepening Russian-Cuban relations.”

“A detailed study of the strategic priorities of cooperation between Russia and Cuba, in addition to international issues, was carried out,” the report says.

Earlier, the Russian Security Council said that Patrushev would hold broad consultations on security issues in Havana.
