Mortar Shelling Reported on Baku’s Border with Armenia

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported that its positions on the border with Armenia came under mortar fire.

And the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, in its statement, notes that today, Sunday, at 7:30 Moscow time, Armenian forces fired from 60-mm mortars at the positions of the Azerbaijani army near the village of Demirgidam, Kelbajar region.

The department stated that the Armenian forces opened fire from their positions near the Yenikand village of the Psarkich region.

It is noteworthy that on Thursday and Friday, Armenia and Azerbaijan exchanged accusations of bombing their border posts.

For its part, the Armenian side reported that 4 people were wounded on its side, and Azerbaijan announced that one of its soldiers was killed and another was seriously wounded.
