Morocco women’s team reached the semi-finals of the African Nations and advanced to the World Cup

On Wednesday, the Moroccan women’s team beat Botswana 2-1 in the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations to secure a place in the semi-finals of the continental tournament as well as the World Cup final.

The first half ended in a 1–1 draw between the two teams after the Moroccans managed to score in the third minute via Sana Al Masoudi before Botswana managed to equalize in the seventh minute from a free kick which was successfully executed by Kitomitsi Ditibe.

And the Moroccan team in the second half went back to stealing the winning goal from Yasmine Merabet.

With this victory and reaching the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations, the Moroccan team officially received a pass to the “World Cup 2023”, which will be jointly organized by Australia and New Zealand.

The Moroccan team is waiting in the African Cup of Nations semi-finals for the winner of the match, which will later meet Nigeria and Cameroon.
