Moroccan federation sets date for announcement of coach’s identity "black satin" new

The Moroccan Football Association has announced that it will reveal the identity of its new coach next Wednesday, which will likely be Walid Rekraki, who will replace Wahid Halilhodzic, who was sacked about 3 months before the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

“The Royal Moroccan Football Federation announces that the new first team coach will be introduced next Wednesday (August 31, 2022) at the Mohammed VI football complex (stadium) starting at 17:00,” the federation said in a statement on Saturday. .

And Moroccan media reported over the weekend that the Moroccan Federation had reached an agreement with the 46-year-old former Moroccan international defender Regraki to lead the Atlas Lions at the World Cup in Qatar.

And former Bosnian manager Halilhodzic, despite the positive results he has had with Morocco, has come under fire for his tactical choices, especially his refusal to call up Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech for disciplinary reasons.

Regraki’s contract will likely open the door for Ziyech’s return to the Moroccan national team.

Notably, Regragui recently split from Widad Casablanca after leading them to African Champions League victory at the expense of Egypt’s Al Ahli and retaining the local league shield.

Régraqui previously played 45 international caps for Morocco, most notably finishing runners-up in the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia before moving into coaching.
