More than 40 participating countries.. Start of the Eastern Economic Forum in Russia

The Eastern Economic Forum events and events kicked off on Monday in Vladivostok, in the Russian Far East, amid strong international participation, especially from Asian countries.

The Forum, held for the seventh time, will run until Thursday (September 8, 2022), and the event is attended by delegations from over 40 countries and is expected to be attended by over 4,000 people.

The event, which includes economic, cultural and sports events, taking into account sanitary and epidemiological measures, is held in conditions of mixed participation, where guests participate in person, and some – remotely via the Internet.

The main theme of the Forum: “Towards a multipolar world” reflects the global processes of change leading to the formation of a new economic paradigm, and provides an opportunity for dialogue with all stakeholders.

The program of the Al Sharq Economic Forum, published today on the official website of the forum, includes more than 70 events, including discussion sessions, round tables, business dialogues and international conferences.

The forum includes dialogue sessions “Russia-India”, “Russia-Vietnam” and “Russia-ASEAN”, as well as a meeting of the Russian-Chinese Business Council and a conference on investment and trade in the Arctic region.

The forum is an important platform for highlighting the benefits provided by the Russian government to encourage investment in the Far East and promising projects in the region.

One of the highlights of the forum is the participation in the event of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who will speak at the plenary session of the forum on Wednesday, in which he will talk about current events in the global economy and the development of the Far East.

The plenary session will be attended by the Prime Ministers of Myanmar, Armenia and Mongolia, Chairman of the National People’s Congress of China, as well as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Malaysian Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yacoub and Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Tinh. in a Kremlin statement.
