The Committee for Emergency Situations of Moldova at a meeting on Saturday decided to lift the ban on the export of wheat and flour.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Moldova reported that the Committee for Emergency Situations decided to lift the ban on the export of wheat or wheat flour from the Republic of Moldova. The decision of the commission came into force from the moment of its publication.
The authorities had previously promised to consider canceling exports as Moldovan farmers protested in different parts of the country this week. Their demands were related, among other things, to the authorities canceling wheat exports or purchasing at least 100,000 tons of grain from local farmers for state reserves.
