Moldova claims "his independence" about Russian gas

Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spino said that his country had achieved “independence” from Russian gas and could now do without its imports from Gazprom.

Spino wrote on his Telegram channel: “For the first time in the history of our country, the right bank of the Dniester will not need gas supplied by Gazprom. Since last year, we have promised to build up reserves and find alternatives to stop relying on a single source of gas. We managed to do it.”

Spino noted that Moldovagaz will receive about 100 million cubic meters of gas from Energocom in the last month of this year at an average price of $1,108.61 per thousand cubic meters. He noted that the above price includes the cost of purchasing fuel, transportation and storage.
