Mishustin: Russia’s oil and gas revenues grew by 50% despite sanctions

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that attempts by Western countries to impose restrictions and sanctions on the Russian energy sector have led to an increase in its resources and profits.

The Prime Minister stressed that the West’s attempt to limit the export of Russian energy resources has led to an increase in oil and gas revenues of the Russian budget by about 50%.

“An attempt to limit the export of Russian energy resources has led to a natural increase in oil and gas revenues in our budget – almost doubled,” Mishustin added in his speech today, Thursday, at the Moscow Financial Forum.
