Minister close to Sisi reveals the future "Dollar legislators" in Egypt

Egyptian Minister of Transport Kamel Al-Wazir, who is close to the Egyptian President, revealed the details of the suspension of projects that include a dollar component, whether for the Ministry of Transport or other ministries.

And during the trip from Cairo to Alexandria on the Talgo train, which he made with the Sada al-Balad channel, that all ongoing projects (in which the dollar component is included or not) are still ongoing, and there is no delay even for one day in them.

He added that all projects implemented by the state are important and necessary, and also provide many jobs for citizens. However, those projects that were included in the budget for 2022-2023 and have a dollar component will be reconsidered and will not be canceled, even if it is possible to secure the dollar component of these projects, they will be completed.

He explained that the Ministry of Transport had not touched anything. Projects that need a dollar component will continue to work on them, and projects that have a dollar component and are financed by international banks, and the decision of Prime Minister Dr.

He noted that the country has an ambitious development plan (2030); Transformation into operational plan in all sectors; Through a feasibility study and calculation of the financial cost of this project.

The minister emphasized that any project that has a negative impact on the environment will not be implemented, adding: “The state does not do anything that is a failure.”

The Official Gazette of Egypt published a new decision by the Prime Minister on the rationalization of public spending by entities included in the general budget of the state and economic government bodies.

The government has decided to postpone any new projects that are not yet implemented and have a clear dollar component, as well as to defer spending on any needs that are not urgent.
