Mido reveals a surprise about Shehata and Shikabala’s relationship

Former Egypt star Ahmed Hossam Mido has thrown a big surprise over the relationship between historical Pharaohs coach Hassan Shehata and Zamalek leader and current star Mahmoud Abdel Razek Shikabala.

Mido said in television statements: “Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the current president of the Egyptian club Al-Ahly, had no luck when he was a player due to his presence in the unorganized generation of Egyptian football.”

He added: “Chikabala was also unlucky when he was at the best time of his career, but he was unlucky with the presence of Hassan Shehata (head of the technical department of the Egyptian national team between 2004 and 2011), who is not like Shikabala.”

And Mido added: “Hasan Shehata did not like any player whose character was a tyrant over the team, and Shikabala was a tyrant.”

He concluded, “Hasan Shehata didn’t like me as a player because I have a strong character as a player and I gave instructions to the players.”

Notably, Hassan Shehata is the historical coach of the Egyptian national team as he led the Pharaohs to 3 consecutive African Cup of Nations titles in 2006, 2008 and 2010.
