"Microsoft" He uncovers a cyber attack on NATO countries and attributes it to Russia

The American company Microsoft announced that it had prevented a “cyborg” of hackers that it said were linked to Russia and targeted individuals and entities in NATO countries.

Microsoft has confirmed that it has taken steps to combat the “cyborgium” attacks, claiming they were the work of people of “Russian origin who are close to the interests of the Russian state.”

Since the beginning of 2022, Microsoft has tracked campaigns targeting more than 30 organizations and personal accounts in NATO countries, especially in the US, UK, the Baltic States, and Eastern and Northern Europe.

She added that the attacks were also aimed at the Ukrainian public sector, but that was not a priority for the operation.

She pointed out that the attacks included attempts to steal identity, hack accounts, and publish stolen information in order to influence the image of the media in the targeted countries.

According to Microsoft, hacker attacks were directed primarily at companies providing consulting services and expertise in the field of defense and intelligence research, as well as non-governmental organizations, international bodies, research and educational centers.
