Argentinean Lionel Messi, Paris Saint-Germain’s French striker, said his French counterpart Kylian Mbappe is a “monster” and integrated player and enjoys playing with another Brazilian teammate, Neymar.
The trio of Messi, Mbappe and Neymar “MMN” will take part with their national teams in preparation for the 2022 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18.
And Lionel Messi said in a statement to Mexico’s TUDN on Monday: “Killian Mbappe is a different player, he’s like a monster, very strong in individual play, also excels in aerial games and very fast and he scores a lot. He is an integrated player and has proven it for years and he will definitely be one of the best in the coming years.”
Kylian Mbappe is now one of the most important players in the world, having scored 181 goals in 226 French Football League matches.
As for Neymar, Messi said: “We have known each other for a long time, by heart, since our time at Barcelona.
“I would like to enjoy him longer in Barcelona, but I met him again in Paris and we are happy to be together, I love playing with him.”
A relationship of friendship developed between Messi and Neymar for four years, during which they coexisted at the Camp Nou stadium, the stronghold of the Barcelona team.
The pairing of Messi and Neymar helped Barcelona win the Spanish title twice, the Copa del Rey three times and the Champions League once before the Brazilian moved to Paris Saint-Germain in a record deal worth 222 million euros.
Messi joined his Brazilian counterpart at Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain’s stronghold, last season due to financial difficulties that Barcelona endured which prevented the Argentine flea’s contract from being renewed.
