MEP: US blew up pipelines "Nord Stream" Prevent Russian-German cooperation

Member of the European Parliament Gunnar Beck said that the United States blew up the Nord Stream gas pipelines in order to prevent the emergence of economic cooperation between Russia and Germany.

The parliamentarian told the Izvestia newspaper that the United States is striving with all its might to break Russian-German relations, pointing out that Western countries are not interested in conducting an open and transparent investigation into the sabotage on the Nord Stream gas pipeline, believing that Russia is the one who carried out the attack, blowing it up.

The diplomat concluded that many US diplomats justified their rejection of Russian-German relations on security and strategic grounds, noting that US pressure on Germany eventually pushed it to follow Washington’s orders.

The well-known American journalist Seymour Hersh on February 8 published a journalistic investigation into the incident with the explosion of the Nord Stream gas pipeline that occurred on September 26, 2022, based on intelligence information he received from a private source who was directly involved in the preparations for the bombing.

For its part, the White House “categorically” rejected the information contained in the investigation, and National Security Council spokesman Adrian Watson said that this information is “a fabricated lie and a pure myth.”
