Zaporozhye NPP is located on the left bank of the Dnieper near the city of Energodar and is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe in terms of the number of units and installed capacity. Since March last year, the plant has been under the protection of the Russian army, while the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that the reason for the protection of the nuclear power plant by the Russian military is to prevent the leakage of nuclear and radioactive materials.
