Medvedev doubts the fairness of elections to the US Congress

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev confirmed that the results of the elections to the US Congress will be rigged and will not correspond to reality.

This commented on the speech of the Sakhalin district Valery Limarenko at a meeting of the secretaries of the United Russia party, who said that election campaigns are usually accompanied by manipulation and falsification.

Medvedev explained that in the history of Russia there were cases of fraud, and this phenomenon exists in most countries of the world, but it does not correspond to the principles of the United Russia party.

The New York Times claimed that American researchers had recorded Russia’s attempts to influence the results of the US Congress elections.

For his part, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin denied Russian interference in the US elections and stressed that these accusations were just an attempt by the Democrats to justify their defeat.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova pointed out that it was former US President Donald Trump, not Russia, who tried to influence the election results.
