Media: Second French mercenary dies of wounds in Ukraine

Today, Tuesday, radio RTL reported the death of a second French mercenary from wounds received as a result of the bombing in Ukraine.

“A second French fighter died in Ukraine. Adrian D. is a 20-year-old guy who died of his wounds on June 25,” she said.

The radio added that in March last year, a French citizen joined a foreign battalion formed as part of the Ukrainian army. She explained that Adrian was wounded near the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv in early June last year in a bombing that also wounded another French mercenary.

It states that about 50 French mercenaries are currently participating in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine.

And in June last year, Radio Europe 1 reported the murder of the first French mercenary in Ukraine. Other French media outlets added that the deceased was Wilfried Bellot, a 32-year-old French national who is believed to have links to far-right groups in France. The French Foreign Ministry later confirmed his death in Ukraine.
