Media: Iranian hackers hacked the data of millions of Israelis, including Lapid and Netanyahu

Israeli media reported that Iranian hackers announced they had stolen the data of millions of Israelis, including current Prime Minister Yair Lapid and former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

She added that they also took down the website of the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation “Kan”.

The Jewish website Walla reported that the Iranian hacking group Wardark said it had succeeded in breaking into a database containing about 9.5 million records of Israeli residents, including Yair Lapid and Benjamin Netanyahu.

“The hackers released partial information about 8,300 entries, which include, among other things, name, ID, date of birth and voting rights,” he added.

With regard to Yediot Ahronot, it stated that the group claimed to have succeeded in bringing down the website of the Public Broadcasting Corporation (Kan channel).

It was not possible to access the site of the Israeli channel, which could confirm the veracity of the news that he was shot down in a cyber attack.

Kan’s channel said yesterday that Iranian Revolutionary Guards were behind the cyberattacks, as witnessed by Israeli government and private institutions, including a hacker group known as the “Black Shadow” that leaked many files and personal data of Israelis.
