During the summit in Germany, the G7 countries are discussing setting maximum prices for Russian oil.
“We are on the right track to reaching an agreement[on setting a maximum price for Russian oil],” a source in the German government quoted Reuters as saying. He added that very “constructive” discussions are underway on this issue.
And the US authorities have previously announced that they are working with their allies to impose restrictions on the price of Russian oil.
The German-led G7 summit will take place from 26 to 28 June at Elmau Palace in Germany. Among the guests of the summit will be the leaders of Senegal, South Africa, Argentina, India and Indonesia. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will take part in its work via videoconference.
