Media: Brussels will not include the largest titanium producer in the new package of sanctions against Russia

The Wall Street Journal reported that the European Union will not include the Russian company Avisma in the seventh package of sanctions against Russia.

The newspaper’s sources indicate that France and some other countries opposed the inclusion of Avisma, the world’s largest titanium producer, fearing in response to the termination of titanium exports from Russia.

It is noteworthy that the European Union imposed 6 sets of sanctions against Russia against the backdrop of its military operation in Ukraine, which started on February 24.

The European Union agreed on Thursday the seventh package of sanctions, which includes restrictions on the purchase of gold in Russia, an expansion of the list of goods prohibited from export to Russia, and the imposition of personal sanctions against more individuals from Russia.
