Bakary Cisse, Sadio Mane’s agent, has opened up about his client’s relationship with Egyptian star Mohamed Salah when they played together at Liverpool before the Senegalese moved to Bayern Munich this summer.
In the previous period, there was always a lot of talk about the big rivalry between Salah and Mane at Liverpool and the Senegalese’s anger at the Egyptian for not giving him a pass to score more goals.
But Cisse, in statements to the French channel TV5 Monde, confirmed that “the behavior of one of them (Salah or Mane) can actually annoy the other, because they are strikers who want to help their team win, but their relationship is wonderful.”
Cissé emphasized that “there has not been and has not been a crisis between Salah and Mane because they have maintained their good, friendly and professional relations”, adding: “The proof is the message that Salah posted on his social media accounts to say goodbye to him . Mane after the latter recently announced his departure from Liverpool.
Salah and Mane played together at Liverpool for five years from 2017 to 2022 and contributed to the English club winning several titles, most notably the European Champions League and the English Premier League title.
At the end of last season, with Liverpool winning the FA Cup and the League Cup and losing 1-0 to Real Madrid in the Champions League final, Mane decided to gain new experience by moving to Bayern Munich. The fate of Salah, whose contract with the English team expires in the summer.
