Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro congratulated the Argentina national team on their victory in the World Cup final in Qatar and expressed admiration for the performance of the Argentinean team.
Maduro tweeted: “Argentina! What finale did you give us. A match in which you gave your heart and soul. We are happy and proud that the World Cup is back in South America. I’m sure my friend Diego Maradona is celebrating with us. Congratulations!”
Argentina, led by its star Lionel Messi, won the World Cup for the third time in its history and for the first time in 36 years after beating France (4:2) on penalties, after the end of regular and extra time in a 3-3 draw.
