Macron and Tebbun signed a statement "Revolving Partnership" Between Paris and Algiers

French Presidents Emmanuel Macron and Algerian Abdelmadjid Tebboun signed today, Saturday, a declaration on the “renewal of the partnership” between France and Algeria, 60 years after Algeria’s independence.

Algeria’s declaration called for a “renewable partnership” between the two countries and the beginning of a new era promising a bright future for both countries at all levels.

The parties agreed to establish a “supreme cooperation council” between the two countries at the highest level to resolve all outstanding issues between the two countries, especially the case of the French occupation of Algeria.

On the sidelines of the agreement, a high-level meeting was held, bringing together the heads of the security services and armies of the two sides “for the first time since Algeria gained independence.”
