President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko expressed readiness and welcome for the visit of the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad to Belarus at any time, highly appreciating the relations between the two countries and the desire to develop cooperation in various fields.
President Lukashenko’s congratulatory message to the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and his deputy Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani on the occasion of the National Day reads: “Belarus seeks to develop cooperation with Qatar in various fields, including trade, investment, food security and advanced technologies ”, emphasizing the readiness of the Belarusian side to receive Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at the appropriate time.
Lukushenko added that “true relations of friendship and trust have developed between Minsk and Doha, as evidenced by a friendly meeting on the sidelines of the forum in Kazakhstan a month ago.”
The President of Belarus also praised Qatar’s efforts to build new modern stadiums, hotels and transport infrastructure for the upcoming World Cup over the course of several years: “We are pleased that the leadership of Qatar, despite incredible difficulties and pressure, was able to prove its economic and architectural achievements to the whole world. and its history”, as well as its rich cultural heritage”, adding that “every country has the right to identity and respect for individual culture, traditions and development path”.
