Colonel of the People’s Militia of the Lugansk Republic Andriy Maruchko said that in some regions, Ukrainian militants at the Azot plant in Severodonetsk began negotiations and raised white flags.
“We can say that the ground is literally on fire under the feet of the militants, which, of course, encourages them to raise white flags in a number of areas and conduct some kind of negotiations,” Marochko said on the air of the Russian Channel One”.
He added that the forces of the Lugansk Republic are in dialogue with a number of Ukrainian military leaders over the radio, noting that their current situation is “unfavorable,” as their forces have left the leadership.
He said that the militants have recently tried to organize supplies using boats and small rafts across the Seversky Donets River, but the number of these supplies is very small. “All this forces these militants to negotiate,” he added, without specifying any details about this.
