London announces measures to support Ukraine’s recovery

The UK Foreign Office has announced that Secretary Liz Truss will announce a broad support plan on Monday to help Ukraine in the long term and participate in its post-crisis recovery.

The ministry explained that “Terrace will present at the Ukraine Reconstruction Conference in Lugano, Switzerland, the UK’s plans to support Kyiv in the short term with humanitarian aid, and also in the long term to restart the Ukrainian economy by providing British financial and economic expertise.”

And she added: “London will support the restoration of the city of Kyiv at the request of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.”

She noted that the UK intends to work with Kyiv and its allies to host a conference to rebuild Ukraine in 2023 and will open an office in London to help coordinate those efforts.
