He added: “Oxlade has had injuries like this in the past where the intensity was high, but this time he had a muscle injury and we’ve had worse situations before.”
Klopp added: “I don’t know how long it will take to recover, but he will come back and everything will be fine. He is a quality player who can help us.”
Regarding the chances of injured duo Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota in the Charity Shield against Manchester City, Klopp said: “I think Alisson has a chance, but Diogo has no chance.”
He continued: “Alison is suffering from a muscle injury in the abdomen, it is not dangerous, but we are preparing for a full season, and therefore he can train, but not like before, and therefore he cannot play now, he will not train. fine, but he won’t waste time.”
Klopp concluded: “It can happen, the players travel and train a lot, it’s simple and not dangerous things, but we have to be careful because the season is long.”
