Liverpool beat Newcastle "stubborn" with a fatal purpose

The Liverpool side snatched a valuable 1-1 win from their guest Newcastle United in a killer time that brought them together on Matchday 5 of the English Premier League on Wednesday.

Newcastle striker Alexander Isak surprised the hosts with a goal in the 38th minute of the first half.

Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino responded with a Reds equalizer by the 61st minute, and then his Portuguese colleague Fabio Carvalho, newcomer from Fulham, scored the winning goal for his side in a deadly eighth minute timed instead of a meeting held at at Anfield Stadium, the referee lost only 5 minutes of stoppage time.

The Liverpool team achieved a second victory in a row, after two draws and a loss respectively raised their score to 8 points, and jumped from second to fifth place in the league standings, and are waiting for the results of the rest of the matches this round.

While Newcastle United suffered the bitterness of their first defeat of the new league season, after winning and three draws respectively, they stopped their balance sheet at 6 points and dropped to eleventh place in the table so far.
