Live: Wallabies v USA Eagles

THE Wallabies have their final Rugby World Cup hitout in the unlikely venue of Chicago this morning.

The one-off Test match against the USA Eagles kicks off at 9.40am AEST and Wallabies coach Michael Cheika has named an experimental lineup for the match at Soldier Field.

Nick Phipps, Bernard Foley and Matt Giteau form what may well be the first-choice inside backs combination of a side captained for the first time by loosehead prop James Slipper.

But a raft of Australia’s top stars have been rested for the Test, including skipper Stephen Moore, Israel Folau, David Pocock and Michael Hooper.

The USA are increasingly competitive in international rugby but the second-string Wallabies are still expected to post a comfortable win.

The All Blacks thumped the Eagles 74-6 at the same venue last year.
