Lionel Messi Reveals His Post-Retirement Plans: Inter Miami Star’s Ambitions Beyond Football

Lionel Messi Talks About Life After Football

Argentine star Lionel Messi, a professional for the American club Inter Miami, spoke about the work he would like to do after retiring from football.

Retirement Plans

In an interview with fellow journalist Miguel Granados on the OLGA YouTube channel, Messi was asked about his retirement date and “The Flea” responded: “I haven’t thought about it and I don’t want to think about it.”

He added: “I just want to keep having fun. That was the main reason he left Europe,” referring to his departure from Paris Saint-Germain during the last summer transfer period to join American side Inter Miami.

Future Roles

The 36-year-old Argentine international, who has won every major title in world football including the World Cup, added that after retiring he would like to become a sporting director or play any other role that would keep him connected to the football club.

“(Footballer) This is work. I’m lucky to do what I love. Even though I have responsibilities and goals, it is still something I enjoy. What will I do next? I don’t know. I want to stay in touch. I want to be a manager,” he explained. Mathematically or something like that.
