Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the European Union has become an anti-Russian union that is pursuing an aggressive policy and also inciting others to anti-Russian sentiment.
Commenting on granting Ukraine and Moldova the status of a candidate member of the European Union, Lavrov said today, on Friday, at a press conference with his Azerbaijani counterpart that the EU dictates its decisions to countries that want to join it, and incites them to hostile Russia.
In the same context, Lavrov pointed out that the European Union is seeking to form an anti-Russian coalition.
“The European Union is working with NATO to form what can be called a modern alliance against Russia, and even go to war with Russia. We will consider all this very carefully,” Lavrov said.
