Lavrov: Justification of Nazi crimes has become the norm in Europe

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that in a number of European countries, especially in Ukraine and the Baltic states, it has become customary to falsify history and justify the crimes of the Nazis.

This was voiced during the greeting of the Russian minister to the organizers and participants of the International Anti-Fascist Forum, at which Lavrov stressed that the Russian Foreign Ministry would continue to tirelessly fight these ugly manifestations, stressing that 77 years after the defeat of Nazism, the world is still facing unprecedented manifestations of neo-Nazism and hatred of Russia, “rossophobia”, anti-Semitism and other forms of intolerance.

“In a number of European countries, especially in Ukraine and the Baltic states, the shameful falsification of history and the justification of the bloody crimes of the Nazis have become the norm. The graves of the Red Army soldiers have been desecrated,” Lavrov said, noting that a frenzied attack on the Soviet heritage and memory is beginning, but the Russian Foreign Ministry will spare no effort in the fight against these ugly phenomena.
