Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirmed that Washington is trying to justify its biological activities in Ukraine on the grounds that they were peaceful, although there is no evidence that they were peaceful.
Lavrov said that the evidence found by the military special operations forces in military biological laboratories in the liberated territories of Donbass and adjacent territories clearly point to direct violations of the Convention on the Prohibition of Biological and Toxin Weapons.
He added that the US administration is trying to justify this by saying that all biological research in Ukraine was exclusively peaceful and civilian. But there is no evidence for that.
Earlier, the Pentagon released a memo stating that over the past 20 years, the US authorities have supported 46 different civilian laboratories, medical facilities and diagnostic centers in Ukraine as part of peaceful cooperation.
