Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkivics has proposed allowing Kyiv to attack Russian missile bases and airfields without fear of escalation.
“We must allow the Ukrainians to use weapons against Russian missile launchers and airfields,” Rynkevich said in an interview with Bloomberg, adding that allies “should not be afraid” of the escalation.
It is noteworthy that the US has not yet provided Ukraine with long-range weapons, despite the latter’s repeated requests for them, and, according to the US side, the request is rejected so that the weapon does not lead to an increase in the scale of the escalation.
