Latest data on gold and gemstone exports from Egypt

The Export Council of Building Materials, Refractory, Metallurgy, Building and Construction in Egypt published a report on the sector’s exports for the period January to September 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.

The total exports of the sectors under the auspices of the Export Council of Building Materials, Refractory, Metallurgy, Construction and Construction for the period from January to September 2022 amounted to $5 billion 105 million compared to the same period. in 2021 at a cost of $4 billion 785 million, an increase of 7%.

Exports of gold, jewelry and gems from Egypt in the first 9 months of 2022 amounted to about $1.12 billion compared to $839 million in the same period in 2021, up 34% year on year.

Exports of iron and steel from Egypt in the first 9 months of 2022 amounted to about one billion dollars, compared to $1.3 billion in 2021, a decrease of 23%.
