Last minutes of the transfer window. Manchester United make a deal "Lost time"

Manchester United officially announced the signing of Slovak goalkeeper Martin Dubravka from Newcastle United on Thursday evening.

And Manchester United said in a statement on their official website that the goalkeeper has joined on a season-long loan with the option to buy him permanently.

Martin Dubravka, 33, has reportedly joined the Red Devils for £2m with a £6m buyout option.

Dubravka has made 125 appearances in the last five years in the English Premier League and has played 29 international matches for his country.

Dubravka thus became Manchester United’s sixth deal in the 2022 summer transfer window, which is about to end, after Dutch defender Tyrell Malasia, Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen, Argentinean defender Lisandro Martinez, Brazilian midfielder Casemiro and Brazilian striker Anthony.

As such, United have pretty much shut down the transfer market for him, which closes in England on Thursday night.

Manchester United manager Eric Ten Hag has previously hinted that United’s transfers will run out once Dubravka is included, unless an opportunity presents itself that should not be missed.
